ARTE ANTWERP PRESENTS AUTUMN/WINTER 2022
In its Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, Arte celebrates the imperfection of human making. The new collection centers the soul of craft and serves as a counterbalance to the precision and sleekness of technology. The AW22 silhouettes reflect an exploration of artisanal techniques. New textures are a main focus within this collection, offering new tactile sensations and emphasizing the physicality of the collection.
At the core of the Autumn/Winter 2022 collection is an exploration of imperfection as real life isn’t perfect, it’s much more interesting than that. Arte took inspiration from various traditional crafts like patchwork, quilting and crochet and translated these codes into a contemporary collection. The range carries Arte’s strong graphical signature but with visual traces of flawed, handmade design processes. Hand dyeing, reworked handwritten logos and flawed patterns catch the eye. The characteristic Arte color palette is enriched with various earthy tones. With its new collection, For the colder seasons ahead, Arte attempts to leave a human imprint on a world thriving on automated processes.
