For Spring/Summer 2023 ARTE introduces a collection inspired by Bauhaus — an art movement known for its use of geometric shapes and experimentation with color. Bauhaus introduced the idea of a "gesamtkunstwerk": bringing all forms of creative expression together and unifying the principles of mass production with individual artistic vision. The movement introduced a modern yet timeless aesthetic combined with everyday function. This idea of bringing people, design, fashion, architecture and performance together to create a community of like-minded people, ARTE considers to be a core principle within its brand philosophy.
The campaign is a tribute to the groundbreaking Bauhaus methods in photography, graphic design and many other art forms. The movement combined art, craft and technology to elevate design beyond its decorative character. The Spring/Summer campaign references to these explorations and experimentations with color, distortion and shadow play.
ARTE balanced the emphasis on geometry of the art school with its own graphical DNA, resulting in a new visual language. Featuring bold prints and circular patterns, the seasonal artworks follow sharp lines and precision while the shapes reinterpret clothing through a geometric lens. The classic Arte Antwerp shades — black, white, navy, grey and cream — are combined with a bright lake blue and yellow creating a refreshing color palette and setting the mood for the Summer to come.
The first drop of the Arte Antwerp Spring/Summer 2023 collection is now online and in store at selected retailers.
